Safe New Year's Eve

I just wanted to wish everyone a safe New Year's Eve tonight. Miguel and I are starting our night out at Bonnie & Chris' house and ending it at his mom's house.

Have fun and be safe...I don't want to be taking care of you in the ER tomorrow!

4 Month Appointment

Colin had his 4 month check-up today. He is very healthy. He weighs 15 lbs. 10 oz. (75th-90th percentile) and is 25.5 inches long (95th percentile). The doctor said that he is a tall baby! He got 4 shots today, so he's been a little sleepy & cranky, but other than that, he's great! We'll be starting solids - starting with cereal, and adding baby food in 6 weeks. I'll keep you updated to the solid food progress!

Speaking of Colin being a tall baby, we have been in the process of looking for a convertible carseat for him b/c he doesn't seem very comfortable in his infant car seat anymore. He used to love being in it, but now he cries every time we put him in it. Our infant car seat will hold a baby up to 25 pounds or 27 inches. Colin is quickly approaching the 27 inch mark. I had seen an open box Britax Marathon on sale at Babies R Us for $229 (originally $270). It had been there since before Thanksgiving, and was there last week when I went. So I drove over there today to finally buy it, and, of course, it wasn't there anymore. I was upset that we had missed out on the deal. I went home and searched ebay. I think the carseat not being there anymore was a blessing in disguise b/c I found one on ebay for $182. I placed at bid, and 20 minutes later I was winner of a brand new Britax Marathon! It ended up coming out to $207 with shipping, but the price with shipping was still better than the open box sale at BRU! I can't wait to get it! I'm so excited about it! The things that a mother gets excited about!

A New Kolb

Kaetlyn was born a little while ago! We can't wait to meet her. Congratulations Chris & Casey!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of my faithful blogger readers! I hope that you have as blessed of a Christmas as I have had!

Colin was my best gift ever this year! He enjoyed his first Christmas even though he had no idea what was really going on...he just knew that he was getting a lot of attention!

Miguel got an XBOX 360, some DVD's, CD's etc. I got the Kitchen Aid Mixer that I've wanted for a few years now, some DVD's, etc. Colin made out like a bandit! He got tons of toys, DVD's, CD's, clothes, etc!

But best of all, we spent the holiday with family. First we went to my mom's house. We ate a traditional American Christmas dinner, and then opened gifts. After that we went to Miguel's mom's house. We ate a traditional Puerto Rican Christmas dinner, danced, opened gifts, danced some more, and then played some games. It was a long day and a late night, but we had such a great time!

Christmas Party

We had so much fun at the Christmas party last night! I ended up wearing a pair of heels that I had. The dress wasn't too short. I wore jewelry that I had, and I did my own hair. It turned out very nice. Miguel won one of the door prizes which was a night in the hotel that the party was at. We can't wait to use it!

We had dinner with friends, danced and just really enjoyed our time out!

Formal Christmas Party Tonight

Tonight Miguel and I are going to a formal Christmas party. I'm wearing a Jessica McClintock dress, but I'm a little disappointed because I couldn't find any gloves to wear. Well, I found some, but they were either light pink or sea green...and my dress is black & white. I don't know what I'm going to do with my hair, what jewelry I'm going to wear, or what shoes I'm going to wear. I bought a pair of flat shoes, but they don't look quite right. I can't really wear a heel b/c the dress would be a little short, and I can't find a flat shoes that looks good with the dress. This could turn out to be a disaster, but hopefully we'll have fun. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

Ladies & Gentlemen, We Have A...

SLEEPER!

We've been working on getting Colin to sleep throught the night without crying for the past 3 nights. The first night was pretty bad. The second night, Colin did good.

But...(drum roll please), last night Colin slept all night without waking up! I put him down after his 10:00 feeding, and he didn't wake up until 6:40 this morning!

We are so excited, and hope that this will stick!

Colin on Tummy

I know that I posted about finding Colin on his tummy in the middle of the night the other night, but when I went into his room yesterday morning, I found him on his tummy and just had to post the pictures that I took!

A New Milestone

I went into Colin's room to get him at 6:00 this morning, and when I turned on the light, I found him on his belly!

He been working on it for a little while now. He'd roll to his side, and make almost all the way over, but not quite. I'm so excited that he's starting to roll over, but I don't want him sleeping on his tummy.

Baby Robert Clark

Isn't baby Robert just adorable? We got to go to the hospital for a little while today to visit with the Clarks.

I can't believe how much like William he looks! I actually called him William by mistake! 

A New Clark Has Arrived!

Congratulations Doug & Lisa! Baby boy Clark, now known as Robert Douglas made his wonderful entrance into the world at around 8:00 this morning. We will be visiting either later today or tomorrow, so I'll have pictures to post then!

3 Month Portrait

Newborn

I finally ordered 1 of Colin's newborn pictures. I just got it yesterday. I can't believe that was my baby Colin just 3 short months ago. He's changed so much! 

Smugmug Frenzy

I have been on a photo uploading smugmug frenzy the past couple of days. Most of the pictures that I've been uploading won't interest very many people as most of them date back. I think I'm almost all the way back to 2001. Nonetheless, if you get bored, there are tons and tons (over 3500) of pictures on my smugmug site, to look through!

Colin's First Bowl of Rice Cereal

Colin had his first bowl of rice cereal on December 4. He LOVED it! He made a mess of his face and hands, but he took to the different texture very well. He did a great job eating off of a spoon. I'm so proud of him! 

GDSX Christmas Party

Saturday night we went to the annual GDSX Christmas Party. This year it was held at Stratos in Dallas. We ate Greek food, watched belly dancers, participated in the white elephant gift exchange, and danced salsa. We had a great time!
